Tempura Tonkatsu Sauce

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Worcestershire sauce
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup soy
  • ¼ cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon
  • ¼ teaspoon allspice

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together the Worcestershire, sugar, soy and ketchup. Bring to a simmer over medium-low heat.
  2. Reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and whisk often until reduced to 1 cup or for about 10 minutes.
  3. Whisk in the mustard and allspice. Cool to room temperature.

 

Notes

  1. This sauce will keep for one week, tightly covered in the refrigerator.
