Ingredients:
- 1 cup fresh minced basil
- 1 small tomato, seeded and chopped
- 1/3 cup fine dry bread crumbs
- 4 large cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 small Serrano chile, seeded and diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup olive oil
Instructions:
- Combine basil, tomato, crumbs, garlic, chile pepper and salt and mix well.
- Gradually stir in the oil and mix well. Cover and chill.
- To serve, bring to room temperature and stir before serving.
Comment: Rouille is a Provencal condiment that is stirred into stews and soups. Great as a spread too!
